this portrait session is special for a few reasons. firstly, all but a few of these images are film. shot on both my Contax 645 and my Canon 1v. magic.
secondly, this isn’t an engagement session. these were taken a week before Braden left for Australia for graphic design school. I always think it’s so important to document phases of your relationship, not just the wedding and engagement, as it’s all ‘big stuff’. just-before-he-leaves-sessions are just as important as the been-married-for-five-years-session I’m documenting later this summer. celebrating love and commitment at any stage ought to be encouraged. and here I am to document it. xo.
